K Squared Collective, located in Licking on South US 63 (just across from College Street), opened for business on January 5. Their grand opening will be Saturday, January 31, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

K Squared Collective houses several vendors, including K Squared Boutique, Blonde Bohemian Boutique, Not Too Shabby Boutique, Short N Sweet Boutique, Crochet by Chelsea, Spurs and Lace, AR Embroidery and Printing, 13Bee Co., The Wilde Sage, Keaton Cattle Co. and Matt Moloney’s charcuterie boards.

Kinley Keaton, owner of K Squared Collective and K Squared Boutique, was previously a vendor at McCoy & Co., inside of Farmgirl Floral, at the same building. When Katie Kinder decided to close Farmgirl Floral just before Christmas, Keaton seized the opportunity to rent the building for a brick and mortar store. K Squared Collective is a new business, and though you will find two or three of the same vendors as McCoy & Co., different products are offered as well.

K Squared Boutique has women’s clothing, some kids’ clothing, home decor, candles, a line of men’s body wash/cologne, great gift ideas and fresh floral arrangements (wedding and funeral arrangements are not being offered at this time). There is truly something for everyone.

Blonde Bohemian Boutique and Short N Sweet Boutique also have clothing, and Not Too Shabby Boutique adds drink mixes, dips, and a line of hair products to the collective. Crochet by Chelsea features crocheted stuffed animals and other crocheted items, and Spurs and Lace brings car freshies to the mix. AR Embroidery and Printing can embroider or screen print your logo or other design onto clothing, 13Bee Co. accessorizes with hair ties and bracelets made with special beads, and The Wilde Sage has jewelry and customized hats, along with a limited line of clothing. Keaton Cattle Co., owned by Freddie and Renee Keaton, Kinley’s parents, will be selling ground beef at K Squared Collective. Beautifully crafted charcuterie boards made by Matt Moloney will also be found there.

Both the collective and K Squared Boutique have Facebook pages, and K Squared Collective will post photos of new merchandise from a variety of vendors. The boutique shares photos of its merchandise, and orders can be placed through messaging on Facebook or Instagram, then shipped to customers. Customers who see items they like from a post can also call the store and place the order.

In her first year out of high school, Keaton sees the collective as a great opportunity. She is able to work there full time while attending Ozark Technical College online, working toward a bachelor’s degree in business. She plans to finish at Missouri State University, also with online classes, then wants to become a real estate appraiser. She feels this profession will combine well with operating K Squared Collective after college graduation.

In addition to the vendors listed above, Saturday’s Grand Opening will include the Blonde Bohemian Mobile Boutique Trailer, RES Esthetics (offering facial waxings), and Linked Co. Permanent Jewelry. Grady Rae’s Coffee Co., which is located at the north end of the same building, will have specials on food and drinks to help Keaton celebrate the event. Keaton invites all to attend the Grand Opening to see what K Squared Collective has to offer.

Right around the corner is Valentine’s Day. K Squared Boutique currently has a Valentine’s Day Special, with several floral arrangements available. Delivery is available to Licking, Raymondville, Houston and possibly Edgar Springs, including Raymondville and Licking schools. Keaton urges you to call now and preorder, at 573-851-9022, as quantities are limited.

You will typically find Kinley Keaton at K Squared Collective, and sometimes she gets some assistance from her mother, Renee. K Squared Collective is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., though hours may change for special events. Keaton said special events will be announced throughout the year on their Facebook page and Instagram. She hopes to have a web page soon, as well.

Stop by for Saturday’s Grand Opening or any time to see what Keaton and the other vendors have to offer at K Squared Collective, 315 Highway 63, Licking.
