Licking woman arrested for Domestic Assault and Abuse of Child

On Sunday, January 11, Emily McGuire, age 44, of Licking, was arrested by the Texas County Sheriff’s Office and is facing charges of Domestic Assault – 2nd Degree, and Abuse or Neglect of a Child-No Sexual Contact.

McGuire is alleged to have physically assaulted a juvenile, striking her in the head and facial area. McGuire was arrested and transported to the Texas County Jail, where a portable breath test indicated a .213 blood alcohol content.

A cash-only bond of $2,500.00 was set on January 12, when formal charges were brought against McGuire. At her arraignment on January 13, she entered a plea of Not Guilty.
