A caroling we will go!

Preschoolers began their Caroling Tour of Licking at Hickory Manor, where they performed Christmas music for several of the residents, then visited with them before heading to their next gig.

The second performance was held at Licking Residential Care. The residents enjoyed the singing, but seemed to enjoy talking to the children afterward just as much.

The Licking Senior Center was the final stop on their whirlwind tour. Diners enjoyed the antics and singing of the little carolers.

The Wildcat Early Learning Center preschool students went a caroling on Thursday, December 11.

A bus full of children and their teachers made the rounds in Licking, first heading to Hickory Manor. After performing a few songs, children were allowed to mingle with the residents, surely a good experience for both generations.

The young performers next traveled to Licking Residential Care. After caroling, residents engaged children in conversations as they intermingled. This mixing of ages was heartwarming, and the children chattered excitedly with the residents.

The children took a whirlwind tour of Licking on the school bus prior to their arrival at their final stop.

At the Licking Senior Center, unlike in years past, the carolers arrived while several people were finishing their meals. Diners lingered to see the performance and enjoyed watching the children. Each child was offered a piece of candy after singing.

Then Mrs. Teresa Clonts and her team loaded their troop of little singers onto the bus for the ride back to the elementary school, with another year of sharing the Christmas spirit successfully completed.
