Lady ’Cats celebrate Senior Night

The Licking Lady WIldcat Volleyball seniors were recognized during Senior Night at the Tuesday, October 14, match against Rolla. Also recognized were the two Licking Junior High Volleyball teams.

Three senior players and a senior manager were honored.

Jadyn Barnes was escorted by her parents, Kirk and Tammy Barnes, and Angie and Doug Loughridge. This is Jadyn’s eighth year playing volleyball, and she also is a member of Track & Field, FCA, FCCLA, Stu-Co, NHS and Pep Club. She plans to attend East Central College and major in Radiologic Technology.

Senior Addison Floyd was escorted by her parents, Jake and Amanda Floyd. She has also been playing volleyball for eight years. Addison is also involved in FCCLA, Stu-Co, FCA, Basketball, Pep Club and NHS. She plans to attend MSU-West Plains after graduation and major in Nursing.

Senior Katelyn MItchell was escorted by her parents, Mark and Melissa Mitchell. She is in her eighth year playing volleyball as well. Kate is also involved in Pep Club, FCCLA, Cat’s Meow, Wildcat Tennis and FCA. She is undecided on where she will further her education, but plans to study real estate and business.

Senior Mya Rinne was escorted by her parents, Jeremy and Nicolle Rinne. She has been the team manager for two years. Mya is also involved in Softball and FCCLA. She plans to enlist in the U.S. Air Force after graduation and wants to pursue a career as a military police officer.

Also recognized that evening were the Licking Junior High Volleyball teams. This year’s eight grade team finished their season with a record of 13-4. The team consisted of Alyvia Turrubiates, Annabel Godi, Luci Todaro, Autumn Wiebe, Aubrie Peterson, Kami Ramsey and Josie Floyd.

The seventh grade team finished with a record of 12-4. Their roster included Raylin St. Onge, Sofie Hutsell, Ashlin Sparks, Brenlynn Moncrief, Presley Cox, Hadlee Pounds, Sayge Adey, Jaylynn Ramsey, Atlee Nelson and Kinlee Little.

The Junior High Volleyball teams were coached by Anna Flatley, Head Coach, and Winter Murray, Asst. Coach. Their manager was Kavyn Kinder.

The Licking Varsity Lady Wildcats are seeded first in the upcoming District Tournament. They will play in the semifinal round at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, against the winner of Wednesday evening’s match between fourth seed Plato and fifth seed Laquey. This year’s District Tournament is being held in Dixon.
