Licking Wildcat Invitational Cross Country Meet

The Licking Wildcats Cross Country team hosted an 18-team meet at Deer Lick Park on Thursday, October 9. This is their only home meet of the Cross Country Season.

Licking runners’ times were as follows: Boys Varsity: Tyrone Merdian 19:07 (26), Ethan Stout 20:27 (50), Dawsynn Moore 20:32 (54), Caleb Barker 20:35 (55), and Kierum O’Daniel 22:07 (71); Girls Varsity: Olivia Clayton 29:42 (58); Junior High: Brycen Baker 15:33 (92).

On Monday, October 13, the team traveled to Dixon for their Invitational meet. Two Licking runners placed in the top ten, and three others placed in the top 20 overall. In the Boys Varsity race, Tyrone Merdian finished 7th with a 19:49, Caleb Barker was 9th with a 20:16, and Ethan Stout and Dawsynn Moore finished at 19th and 20th with a 21:17. Olivia Clayton finished in 20th place in the Girls Varsity race with a time of 31:09. Brycen Baker finished 35th with a time of 17:42 in the Junior High race.

The Wildcats are preparing for the Frisco League Meet on Monday, October 20, where they hope to bring home some conference medals.
