The MC Cruise-In at Sonic wrapped up their 2025 season and their toy drive Thursday evening in Licking. This was their 16th year of cruise-ins, which are held the final Thursday of each month, April through September.
Approximately 60 bikes cruised into this final evening of the season. The cruise-ins aren’t held past September due to shorter hours of daylight and colder weather.
The generous riders contributed 117 toys in total and $346 in donations was collected for the toy drive. Those who brought toys or donated money were entered into a drawing for prizes. Cassie Sharp, of Rolla, won the battery charger. Laney Duvel, of Edgar Springs, took home the Stahlman $50 gift card. Scott Collins, of Mountain View, received a picnic blanket.
If you missed the cruise-ins this year, organizer Sue Daniels is already talking about next year, their 17th.
At this cruise-in, an extra table was set up where raffle tickets were sold for a gun. The winner of the gun, a Ruger American Gen II 30.06 with a 20-inch barrel, will be drawn at a Cancer Benefit for Jack Daniels. The benefit Auction, Gun Raffle and Chili Supper will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, at Fox Fire Station in Licking. Tickets for the gun raffle will be available at the benefit or at Corner Express in Licking or Houston prior to the event.
After 11 years, Jack’s cancer has returned and he is undergoing treatment again. All proceeds from the benefit will go directly to Jack and Sue Daniels to help with financial support.
