MMRA comes to Edgar Springs

The Mid Missouri Rodeo Association (MMRA) held their last rodeo of the season before their finals on Friday and Saturday at the Edgar Springs Saddle Club arena. Events included Pole Bending, Mini Bronc Riding, Ranch Bronc Riding, Mutton Bustin, Calf Riding, Youth Bull Riding, Junior and Open Bulls, Barrel Racing, Goat Tying and Chute Doggin.

Winners were as follows:

9 and Under Poles – Aida Rugen – 26.747 sec.

10-14 Poles – Adalyen Pettey – 26.675 sec.

15-17 Poles – Chloe Tomnitz – 27.111 sec.

Open Poles – McKenen Pettey – 24.143 sec.

6 and Under Mini Bronc Riding – Dominic Summerford – 72 pts

9 and Under Mini Bronc Riding – Rhett Morris – 72 pts

15-17 Ranch Bronc Riding – 1) Alayna Hiatt – 70 pts

Open Ranch Bronc Riding – Dakota Higgins – 77 pts

Mutton Bustin – Tie for first – Alyssa Cason & Waylon Payne – 36 pts

Calf Riding – Ty Cason – 37 pts

Youth Bull Riding – Troy Tomnitz – 74.5 pts (inching out a tie for second place from Greyson Summerford and Cameron Summerford at 74 pts)

Junior and open bulls – no one covered

6 and Under Barrel Racing – Waylon Payne – 53.301 sec.

9 and Under Barrel Racing – Aida Rugen – 20.176 sec.

10-14 Barrel Racing – Callie Taylor – 18.624 sec.

15-17 Barrel Racing – Morgan Webster – 17.705 sec.

Open Barrel Racing – Chloe Tomnitz – 18.448 sec. (beating out McKenen Pettey – 18.748 and Hannah Phillippe – 18.787 by tenths of a second)

9 and Under Goat Tying – Aida Rugen – 25.81 sec.

10-14 Goat Tying – Josie Higgins – 22.87 sec.

Open Goat Tying – Morgan Bridgeman – 20.97 sec.

Chute Doggin – no times (didn’t throw their steers)

The MMRA Finals will be at the Kramer Arena & Stables, 2978 Highway H, Sullivan, MO, on October 31 and November 1, 2025.
