Crafts, dogs, food and flowers at Mill Festival

The Licking Mill Craft and Junk Festival was held Saturday at the historic Licking Mill.

Activities were kicked off by a tribute to Veterans in honor of Armed Forces Appreciation Day, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Vendors offered pots of flowers, repurposed items, wood crafts, 3-D printer items, canned goods, textile crafts, custom hat designs, custom t-shirts, food truck Come Gid It and more. At the Wildcat Travel Club booth, you could also find a Rada raffle and a cutest dog contest. Grace, brought to the contest by owner Leslie Holt Richards, was the winner. Second place went to Millie, who had attended with owner Marlene Taylor.

Live music took to the porch in the afternoon. The Central Baptist Worship band drew people who brought their lawn chairs and enjoyed the concert.

It was a great day for a festival, and the community supported the event well. Licking Downtown Inc. thanks all who participated!
