Obituary – Kenneth E. Hood

Kenneth Earl Hood “Spare Tire,” age 62, was born May 19, 1962, in Corning, Arkansas. Kenny was the second eldest son of Darrell E. and Patricia E. (York) Hood. Kenny passed away on December 29, 2024, at Cox Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Kenny was baptized in the early 1980s by Pastor Lenzie King in Pigeon Creek east of Licking. Kenny was married to Christina “Tina” (Mitchell) Hood at her mother’s home in Licking on January 9, 1985. To this union three children were born, Christopher, Robert and Jessica.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Darrell E. and Patricia E. (York) Hood; our angel baby boy; and father-in-law, Daniel Earl Mitchell; brothers-in-law, John Stroder and Drake Parker; as well as a special cousin, Marty Booker.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Christina “Tina” Mitchell Hood, of the home; son, Christopher (Brandy) Hood, of Houston; son, Robert (Courtney) Hood, of Houston; daughter, Jessica (Hood) Robbins, of Licking, and William Robbins, of Edgar Springs; siblings, Doyle E. Hood, of Licking, Trina (Hood) Stroder, of Licking, Maxine (Tracy) Stevens, of Mammoth Springs, Ark., Walttreia “Wally” (Hood) Potts, of Raymondville, and Glenda Hood, Emily (Hood) Parker and Paula (Freddy) Martin, all of Licking; mother-in-law, Rosemary (Obermark) Mitchell; brother-in-law, Robert (Christie) Mitchell; and sister-in-law, Jennifer (Mitchell) Kilkenny, all of Springfield, Mo.; his pride and joy of six grandchildren, Gavin, Eli and Abigail Robbins, of Licking, and Makayla, Paisley and Cheyenne Hood of Houston; as well as a slew of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Kenny was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper who loved the outdoors. More than anything, he loved his grandbabies and his family. Kenny may be gone from this Earth but he will live on through his kids and grandkids and all of our treasured memories.
A visitation for Kenny will take place Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net. Arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.
