Obituary – Roger “Dale” Storm
Roger Dale Storm, 70, of Licking, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Cox South Hospital, in Springfield, Mo. He was born September 22, 1953, to Wilford Lloyd and Lois Nadine (Breeden) Storm. He was united in marriage to Glenda Sue on March 17, 2012.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lois Storm; his brother, Darrel Wayne “Buck” Storm; and son-in-law, Steve Gayman.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Sue; four children, Errica (Patrick) Vaughn, of Crocker, Mo., Paula (Keith) Hickman, of Wichita, Kan., Justin (Amanda) Storm, of Nixa, Mo., and Jason (Heather) Elledge, of Licking; 12 grandchildren, Lauren, Garrett, Austin, Gaige, Brennon, Abby, Tyler, Annie, Kaiya, Ashlinn, Madison and Levi; and five great-grandchildren, Walker, Wyatt, Chloe, Rory and Evelyn; his brother, Don (Chris) Storm, of Licking; special cousin, Sara Kay, of Salem, Mo.; and friends that were like family.
Dale was a devoted father and husband. He enjoyed spending time with the love of his life, Glenda Sue and his family. He enjoyed fishing and was always ready to throw in a line. He often spoke fondly of taking his grandson Levi fishing. He enjoyed taking his wife, Glenda Sue, turkey hunting and camping. In his camping years he met many great friends that he loved to sit around a campfire and laugh with. He enjoyed traveling with his love, Glenda Sue, to the beach and the mountains. He met or talked on the phone with his brother, Don Storm, to catch up and talk about the upcoming day. Some of his fondest memories are when his family would all gather together at their house playing games, enjoying food and laughing together. During his last few years, his favorite activity was to sit on the front porch with his love, Glenda Sue, enjoying the sunshine. Dale is not dead. He is whole again, pain free and very much alive with Jesus.
A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Licking Christian Church. Memorial contributions may go to the Licking Cemetery in loving memory of Dale. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net. Arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.
