Obituary – Adell Pugh

Adell (Martin) Pugh, age 80, daughter of William P. and Vida T. (Lovett) Martin, was born on November 3, 1943, in Little Rock, Ark. She passed away on May 2, 2024, at her home in Licking, Mo., surrounded by her family.

Adell was a devoted grandmother and loved helping raise her grandchildren. She loved gardening and canning the fruits of her labor. She enjoyed sewing, making dolls and raising her chickens. For most of her life, Adell worked in a factory. Later she would become an in-home health care aide.

Adell is preceded in death by her parents, William and Vida; and children, Melody Borton and James Todd Pugh.

She is survived by her eight grandchildren, Tyler Pugh, Victoria Stinson, Jessica Prenger, Samuel Borton, Dalton Pugh, Cherokee Potts, Alexandra Broadus and Andrew Borton; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial for Adell will be planned at a later date.
