After losing to state ranked Fair Grove on Saturday, April 12, the Wildcats came back with a vengeance in the following week. In a rare lengthy home stand for Licking, they would host Mountain Grove on Tuesday, state ranked Class 1 Stoutland on Thursday, and play a Frisco league varsity doubleheader with Plato and Newburg on Friday.
On the week, the Wildcats outscored opponents 69-4. Rather than break down each game individually, here are some highlight moments from the week.
On the mound, Kannon Buckner and Cole McCloy handled the Mountain Grove lineup. Buckner threw three innings, striking out three. McCloy came on in relief to throw one inning, striking out two and allowing no hits.
Against Stoutland, Conway Adey went the distance, throwing five innings, giving up three hits and striking out ten, while surrendering only one run.

Against Plato, Isaac Rinne threw a three-inning perfect game with five strikeouts.
Versus Newburg, Parker Huff threw two perfect innings, striking out 6.
Offensively the week was a big one for several Wildcat hitters. Kannon Buckner stayed hot with a 6-6 performance and added ten RBIs. Kale Cook was 6-8 with one double and one triple, while notching eight RBIs. Jordan Ritz tagged his second home run of the year and picked up seven RBIs. Jett Sullins also got a homer and tallied five RBIs. Jason Ingram picked up six RBIs, going 4-8 at the dish.
Those four wins move Licking to 11-3 on the season. Final scores: Licking 17, Mountain Grove 2; Licking 14, Stoutland 1; Licking 16, Plato 0; and Licking 22, Newburg 1.
