MONTHLY MOTORCYCLE CRUISE-IN
April 24 begins the 2025 season of the MC Cruise-In at Sonic in Licking. DJs “Lew & Rick” of “The Road Show DJ service” are back with some great tunes. The motorcycles will be rolling in, we have lots & lots of door prizes & most of all friendly people! T-shirts are available for purchase. Cruise-Ins are the last Thursday of each month. April–September, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Junction of Hwy. 63 & 32. The rain date is the following Thursday from that date. Hope to see you there!
RESIDENT FUNDRAISER
Licking Residential Care residents are having a fundraiser for their Activity Fund. They will host a yard sale on April 24th and 25th. Donations are being accepted; bring donated items to the facility.
SOUTH CENTRAL WALK WORTHY CONFERENCE
South Central Walk Worthy Inter-Denominational Women’s Conference “I Will Make a Way” will be held Friday, April 25, 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 26, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at Liberty High School, Mountain View, Missouri. MONTAUK EVENTS
Montauk State Park is having a Senior Citizens’ Trout Fishing Tournament from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 24. Any man or woman 60 years of age or older may participate. Two classes, fly or bait, with two prizes to winners in each class for heaviest trout and heaviest stringer of trout. Registration at Dorman L. Steelman Lodge.
Friday, April 25 is Montauk Arbor Day. Free tree seedlings, courtesy of George O. White Nursery, will be handed out to park visitors at the park main office across from the lodge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday, April 26, a bird hike will take place from 8 a.m. to noon. Meet at the stone CCC Picnic Shelter. Wear something comfortable to walk in and bring binoculars if you have them. Potluck lunch and BBQ afterwards.
Saturday, May 3, is Spring Kids Free Fishing Day. Kids 15 and under can pick up required “free fishing tags” at the registration booth near the fish cleaning station the night before the event from 2-5 p.m. or all day Saturday during the event.
MOSTACCIOLI & SPAGHETTI DINNER
The Licking Senior Center will be hosting a fundraising Mostaccioli and Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday, May 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dinner includes choice of spaghetti or mostaccioli, Italian salad, bread, dessert and drink. Carryout and deliveries will be available.
GOSPEL SINGING
The Stanley Jones Singers will be in concert at New Life Free Will Baptist Church on Sunday, May 4, at 6 p.m. All are welcome.
GUN AND QUILT RAFFLE
The Fleet Reserve Association FRA Branch 364 is holding a Gun, Quilt and Large Ceramic Planter Raffle. The raffles are in support of college scholarships. For more information call David Herndon at 417-967-0661.
TEXAS COUNTY MUSEUM OF ART & HISTORY
The Texas County Museum of Art & History and the Book Nook is open for the season. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays and Tuesdays.

AOG LEGACY SERVICE
The Licking Assembly of God invites all to attend their weekly Legacy Service, held from 1 – 2 p.m. every Wednesday. This non-denominational service was begun to provide an option for those who wish to attend a mid-week service held during daylight hours.
KIDS AT THE CREEK
The Kids at the Creek Program at Boone Creek Baptist Church meets every Wednesday that school is in session, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with a light dinner, Bible study, crafts and music.
KIDZ CLUB/YOUTH GROUP
First Baptist Church Kidz Club, ages 4 years through 6th grade, will meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 223 Main Street, and will be served a meal. If your child needs a ride, contact the church at 573-674-3141.
