STORM SIREN TESTING
Testing of the Licking storm sirens is scheduled to take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 20.
BOONE TOWNSHIP FISH FRY
Boone Township will hold its annual fish fry at noon on Saturday, March 22. All township residents are welcome to attend, at the township shed at 16245 Highway AF, Licking.
LITTLE LEAGUE SIGNUPS
Little League signups continue at Licking City Hall during regular business hours through Friday, March 28, 2025.
BENEFIT RIDE FOR IVAN GALE
A benefit ride for Ivan Gale will be held on Saturday, March 29, beginning at 1 p.m. at Crow Creek Bar & Grill. Line up starts at noon. Register in advance at Crow Creek or beginning at 11 a.m. the day of the ride. A benefit meal, auction, music and more will be held at Crow Creek after the ride. The benefit is to support Ivan and his family. Gale remains hospitalized after a motorcycle accident.
KARLA’S KICKIN’ CANCER’S CABOOSE BENEFIT
The Karla’s Kickin’ Cancer’s Caboose Fish Fry Benefit is planned for 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at Licking Pentecostal Holiness Church. The menu will be catfish, hushpuppies, fried taters, coleslaw, beans, hotdogs and more. A gun raffle, and a live and silent auction will also be held.
GOSPEL SINGING
Becky and Lauryn Lercher will perform at the New Life Free Will Baptist Church in Licking at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 30. All are welcome to attend; admission is free.
REVIVAL
A revival will be held at 7 p.m. on April 4, 6 p.m. on April 5, and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on April 6 at New Life Free Will Baptist Church in Licking. Pastor Bob Thebeau will be preaching. All are welcome to attend.
SEASON OPENING TEXAS COUNTY MUSEUM OF ART & HISTORY
The Texas County Museum of Art & History and the Book Nook will open for the 2025 season on Monday, April 7. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays and Tuesdays.
2025 TEXAS COUNTY FAIR DATES SET
Texas County Livestock Fair Sheep, Goat, Hog and Replacement Heifer Weigh-in will be April 13. The fair will be held July 8-12, with the Livestock Auction on Saturday, July 12, at 2 p.m.

AOG LEGACY SERVICE
The Licking Assembly of God invites all to attend their weekly Legacy Service, held from 1 – 2 p.m. every Wednesday. This non-denominational service was begun to provide an option for those who wish to attend a mid-week service held during daylight hours.
KIDS AT THE CREEK
The Kids at the Creek Program at Boone Creek Baptist Church meets every Wednesday that school is in session, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with a light dinner, Bible study, crafts and music.
