JH XC team first at Mansfield

The Wildcat Cross Country teams traveled to St. James on October 1.
High school medal winners included Levi Stout, who finished 10th with a time of 18:52, and Ethan Stout, who set another personal record for a 5K, finishing 11th with a time of 18:58. Titus Scavone was also in the top 20, earning 17th with a time of 19:54.
Junior High medal winners were Kierum O’Daniel (11th) and Dawsynn Moore (14th), with times of 12:37 and 12:43, respectively.
On Friday, October 4, the Junior High Wildcat runners dominated in Mansfield. The JH boys team took first place. Individual medal winners, who also all set new personal bests, included Dawsynn Moore (2nd)(9:40); Kierum O’Daniel (3rd)(9:41); Jasper Rodgers (7th)(10:30); Hunter Powell (8th)(10:32); Logan Kuhn (11th)(10:36); and Trey Gambill (15th)(11:08).
Levi Stout finished third of 42 runners in the High School race, with a time of 19:37. Ethan Stout was 14th with a time of 21:16. Also finishing in the top 20 were Titus Scavone (18th) and Jeffrey Alkire (19th).
The Wildcat XC runners will compete in their only home meet of the season on Thursday afternoon, October 10, at Deer Lick Park.
