Catching up with Cross Country

WILLOW SPRINGS, Mo. – The Wildcat XC team traveled to the Willow Springs meet on September 12. Eight high school and ten junior high runners competed.

Levi Stout led the Wildcat runners, finishing 23rd with a time of 19:19. Ethan Stout was less than a minute behind, in 46th place with a time of 20:08. Other high school runners in the boys’ race were Titus Scavone, Logan Lane, Jeffrey Alkire, Nathaniel Gambill and Brayden Jackson. Karissa Malikowski competed in the girls’ race.

In the Junior High race, Kierum O’Daniel placed 17th with a time of 10:03, and Dawsynn Moore was 27th with a time of 10:33. Other junior high runners were Logan Kuhn, Jasper Rodgers, Hunter Powell, Trey Gambill, Lucas Bates, Kyler Lewis, Tucker Bryant and Wade Bisker.

WEST PLAINS, Mo. – On September 17, the teams competed in a meet at West Plains.

Levi Stout finished 17th with a time of 22:08. Ethan Stout was 19th, with a time of 22:43. Titus Scavone placed in 22nd, at 23:45, Zachary Liveoak was 25th at 24:22, and Jeffrey Alkire wasn’t far behind in 27th, with a time of 24:39. Other high school runners were Logan Lane, Nathaniel Gambill and Brayden Jackson. Karissa Malikowski finished 17th in the girls’ race with a time of 35:09.

In the Junior High race, Kierum O’Daniel placed 2nd with a time of 10:49, and Dawsynn Moore was 5th with a time of 11:12. Logan Kuhn, Jasper Rodgers and Hunter Powell finished 11th, 12th and 13th; Trey Gambill and Lucas Bates were 20th and 21st; Kyler Lewis and Wade Bisker also competed.

STEELVILLE, Mo. – The 19th of September saw the team in Steelville. Out of a field of 131 runners, Ethan Stout finished 19th, with a time of 19:44. Other runners in the high school boys’ race included Titus Scavone, Jeffrey Alkire, Zachary Liveoak, Logan Lane, and Brayden Jackson. Karissa Malikowski competed in the girls’ race.

The junior high race boasted a field of 195 runners. Kierum O’Daniel finished 24th, and Dawsynn Moore 34th. Other runners were Logan Kuhn, Hunter Powell, Lucas Bates, Trey Gambill, Kyler Lewis and Wade Bisker.

AVA, Mo. – Ava was the next meet, on September 24th. Ethan Stout led the high school boys with a time of 20:03, placing 28th. Titus Scavone placed 35th. Other runners in order of placement were Jeffrey Alkire, Logan Lane, Benton Corley, Brayden Jackson and Nathaniel Gambill. Karissa Malikowski competed in the high school girls’ race.

In the junior high race, Kierum O’Daniel was 2nd with a time of 9:58. Dawsynn Moore finished 12th and Logan Kuhn was 19th. Other runners included Jasper Rodgers, Lucas Bates, Hunter Powell, Trey Gambill, Kyler Lewis, Tucker Bryant and Wade Bisker.

PLATO, Mo. – September 26 saw the team running in Plato. Levi Stout finished 17th, with a 19:18 time. Ethan Stout was 36th with a 20:34. Other runners included Titus Scavone, Logan Lane, Benton Corley, Nathaniel Gambill and Brayden Jackson. Teagan Lucas and Karissa Malikowski ran in the girls’ race.

Kierum O’Daniel was fourth of 69 runners in the junior high race. Dawsynn Moore was 8th and Jasper Rodgers was 11th. Also running were Logan Kuhn, Powell Hunter, Trey Gambill, Lucas Bates and Kyler Lewis.

The Licking Wildcat Invitational will be Thursday, October 10, at Deer Lick Park. This will be the team’s only home meet of their season.
