LRC SILENT AUCTION
Licking Residential Care will be running a silent auction throughout the month of September. Funds raised go toward the Resident Christmas fund.
SHANNON CO. MUSEUM PROGRAM
The annual archaeology/history program at the Shannon County Museum will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 30, at the museum on Main Street, Eminence. Jack H. Ray will present “Recent Archaeological Investigations in Shannon County: The Alley Mill Site and Cave Spring Dugout Canoe.” The public is invited to the free program.
ABCs OF MEDICARE
The Phelps Health EnrollU team will host an “ABCs of Medicare” class to answer questions about the different Medicare plans prior to open enrollment. This class is FREE and open to the public. Two class times available: Friday, October 4: 10-11:30 a.m. OR 2-3:30 p.m., in Private Dining Rooms 1 and 2 (near the cafeteria), Phelps Health, 1000 West 10th Street, Rolla. 2ND ANNUAL RIDE FOR A REASON
The second annual Ride for a Reason will be held on Saturday, October 5. Participants will meet at Crow Creek Bar & Grill to line up at noon, departure time is 1 p.m. All proceeds go to G-Ma Pam’s Rack Pack.
BIG PINEY RIVER NATURE CENTER OPENING
The Big Piney River Nature Center will hold its opening on Saturday, October 16. Located at 6401 South Highway 63, Houston, the center is the work of author and outdoorsman Larry Dablemont.
61st ANNUAL ROSE HOLLAND TROUT DERBY
An Old Time Cruise-In Car Show begins at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 4, kicking off the annual Rose Holland Trout Derby at Montauk State Park. Activities are planned throughout the weekend.
TEXAS COUNTY MUSEUM OF ART & HISTORY OPEN
The Texas County Museum of Art & History is open on Monday and Tuesday for the season.
GUN AND QUILT RAFFLE

The Kids at the Creek Program at Boone Creek Baptist Church meets every Wednesday that school is in session, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with a light dinner, Bible study, crafts and music.

The final MC Cruise-In of the season will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Sonic in Licking, the last Thursday of September, with a rain date of the following Thursday. Join DJ Lew of the Road Show DJ service as he plays great tunes, win door prizes and enjoy the company of fellow bikers.
