MITCHELL FAMILY REUNION
The Mitchell Family Reunion 2024 will be held Labor Day weekend. Family and friends are invited. Follow Facebook for questions or updates. Friday evening at 5:30 p.m. is dinner at Mexican restaurant in Licking. Saturday at 10 a.m. is a float trip. Sunday at 1 p.m. is carry-in lunch at Deer Lick Park.
FLOYD FAMILY REUNION
The Floyd Family Reunion will be held on Sunday, September 1, at Montauk Shelter across from the Mill. Lunch is at 1 p.m., bring a covered dish. Meat, drinks and paper products provided. Everyone welcome.
VETERANS FREE FISHING AT MONTAUK
Military veterans fish for free at Montauk on Saturday, September 7. Veterans must obtain and display a fishing tag that will be given to them at the Hooked on Vets tent/booth in the park.
GOSPEL SINGING
Becky Lercher is scheduled to perform at New Life Free Will Baptist Church, in Licking, at 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 8.
SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCE CLASS

TEXAS COUNTY SIREN BOWL
The Texas County Law vs. Texas County Fire/EMS/Dispatch softball game will be held beginning at 7 p.m. at the Houston Tiger Baseball Field, on Saturday, September 14. Proceeds go to Texas County Shop with a Hero.
SERVICE IN THE PARK
The Licking Ministerial Alliance is hosting a Service in the Park on Sunday, September 15, at Licking’s Old City Park. Food and fellowship begin at 5 p.m., with Pastor Matthew McGuire conducting the service at 6 p.m. Please bring lawn chairs.
BOONE CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH HOMECOMING
Boone Creek Baptist Church will be celebrating their 170th Homecoming Anniversary beginning with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and special events starting at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 15. Special events include special music, a guest speaker and a carry-in meal after services.
QUILT TURNING AT FALL FESTIVAL
The Fall Festival “Pickin’ on the Porch” will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the historic Licking Mill.
