VBS takes The Great Jungle Journey

Abounding Hope Church was filled with the sounds of learning and fun each evening last week during their VBS.

Vacation Bible School students at Abounding Hope Church embarked on The Great Jungle Journey last Monday. A week-long “Epic Cruise from Genesis to Revelation” was filled with Bible learning, fun activities, food, and even a nightly “Jungle Jam.”

Wednesday night, attendance peaked at 112 children and adults, with average attendance at 97. A total of 85 students were enrolled in VBS throughout the week.

Children studied seven Cs: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, the Cross and Consummation. They also collected food for the Mission Box, with 675 items brought in. The Youth Class won the food contest, donating 311 items.

The program ended Saturday evening with Commencement, where students shared what they learned with their families. This was followed by student-led tours of classrooms and snacks and refreshments.
