Licking students receive scholarships

“Go forth and be awesome!” said Michelle Whitaker, Rolla Witches Night Inc, to the students with exuberance. “We appreciate the creativity and ingenuity used to express yourselves on the scholarship applications.”

Rolla Witches Night Inc, with Salon Legacy, hosts an annual community fundraising event in Rolla. This year the organization donated several $1000 scholarships to recent high school graduates for trade school tuition. Licking graduates Kristen Holladay, Riley Moloney and Austin Stephens were among those honored.

RWN members Whitaker, Veronica Henry, Ashley Whittingham, Sarah Peterson, Mindy King, Yolie Woody, Andrea Moffitt and Mallory Persicke, all professionals from trade schools, were happy to support advancement in skilled trades.

The Rolla Witches Night community event held in October is in no way affiliated with actual witchcraft and is simply a fun costume party that raises funds to help those in their communities, with a focus on the younger community members.
