LHS SUPER REUNION

The LHS Super Reunion will be held at the Resort at Boiling Springs on Friday, June 7, 7-11 p.m., KC Ritz Band (gates open at 5 p.m.), and Saturday, June 8, with gates opening at noon, and events until dark, when fireworks will be held in honor of Doc Hatch. All LHS graduates over the age of 21 are invited. A gate fee will be collected to cover the cost of the event.

CLASS OF 1962 REUNION

The Class of 1962 Reunion will be held beginning at 12 p.m. at El Carnaval on Saturday, June 8. All classmates and friends are invited to attend.

MONTAUK HAPPENINGS

A free fly fishing clinic will be held in the field adjacent to the lodge at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 8. This event is for all ages and levels of experience.

Free Fishing Days will be June 8-9 at Montauk State Park, 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. No fishing license or trout tag required.

Flag Day will be celebrated on Friday, June 14.

A Stream Team Clean Up of the Upper Current River will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from the headwaters of the Current River to the end of Montauk State Park, on Saturday, June 15. Registration and sign up from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Dorman L. Steelman Lodge.

SIDE-BY-SIDE RIDE

Licking Bridge Builders will hold their Second Annual Side-By-Side Ride beginning at 9 a.m., on Saturday, June 22, start from the Senior Center for the approximately 35-mile, one-way ride. Call 618-781-6867 to sign up. Bring your own sack lunch.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

A birthday celebration for June and Gerald Marion will be held beginning at 2 p.m. at 226 Rust Street, on Saturday, June 22. Friends are invited to stop by for the celebration. Happy Birthday June and Gerald!

VBS AT BOONE CREEK

Boone Creek Baptist Church will host Vacation Bible School from 6 – 8:30 p.m., Sunday-Friday, June 23-28.

BATES FAMILY REUNION

The James Bradford Bates Family Reunion will be held with doors to open at 10 a.m. at the Fox Community Room in Licking on Saturday, June 29. Lunch will be noon; please bring a side dish.

QUILT RAFFLE AT LICKING RESIDENTIAL

A king size quilt w/ pillow shams, embroidered by LRC residents, set together by Melvalee Watson, quilted by Mary Sullins, will be raffled to raise money for the residents’ activities fund. Drawing on June 29, at Independence Day celebration. Tickets available at LRC.

The 15th season of MC Cruise-In will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Sonic in Licking, the last Thursday of the month through September, with a rain date of the following Thursday. Join DJ Lew of the Road Show DJ service as he plays great tunes, win door prizes and enjoy the company of fellow bikers.

SUMMERSVILLE CHESS CLUB

Come to Feels Like Home (on the square, next to the Summersville Library) on Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. to play the “Game of Kings.” All are encouraged to come and play. No need to sign up, just show up and have some fun!

OZARK MOUNTAIN AMATEUR RADIO CLUB

Boone Township meets the second Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Meeting is at the Township Shed, 16245 Highway AF, Licking.
