Gold and Silver in State Music competition

Talented vocalists and a musician from the Licking High School music department attended the MSHSAA State Solo/Small Ensemble Festival on April 25. Participants included, from left, front row: Nicole Paolella, Josie Gifford, Aubrey Gorman and Reece Lozoya; second row: Ava Walker, Kylee Rinne and Hannah Beasley; third row: Paige Kilby, Emalee Breeden and Gwen Campbell; top row: Dawson Havens, Kate Mitchell and Finley Sullins. Vocal soloist Paige Kilby earned a Gold Rating, Nicole Paolella received a Silver Rating for her vocal solo, and Dawson Havens took home a Silver Rating for his snare drum solo. The LHS Freshman Girls Ensemble, consisting of Reece Lozoya, Josie Gifford, Ava Walker, Hannah Beasley, Kylee Rinne and Gwen Campbell earned a silver rating, as did the LHS Girls Ensemble, which consisted of Nicole Paolella, Paige Kilby, Kate Mitchell, Finley Sullins, Aubrey Gorman and Emalee Breeden. Congratulations to these talented youth, and to Mrs. Briana Link and Ms. Crystal Frailey, whose leadership and support help them achieve their goals.
