Merdian advances to State in Cross Country

The Class 2 District 3 Cross Country Meet was held Saturday in Linn, Mo.

Senior Tyrone Merdian placed 30th at the meet with a time of 18:39. Kaleb Barker placed 69th with a time of 20:19, and Ethan Stout placed 109th with a time of 22:49.

Merdian set a personal record time despite the cold and windy weather making it less than ideal weather for running. He advances to the Class 2 State Meet in Columbia, which will be held at Gans Creek Cross Country Course on Saturday, November 8.

All the Wildcat runners showed grit and determination in the race and made their coaches and school proud.
