On Thursday evening, May 15, the Wildcat Early Learning Center in Licking held their graduation ceremony.

Mrs.Clonts welcomed everyone, and after her introduction, the graduating pre-school Class of 2025 began to walk the best little line they possibly could. Many students had big smiles while some had shy little faces. Twenty-three pre-schoolers walked down the gymnasium floor; out of these, twenty will go into kindergarten and the other three will be graduating to Pre-K 2.

The pre-schoolers performed three songs to their biggest fans – “We’ll Be Going to Kindergarten,” “One Small Voice” and “Skidamarinkydink.” Once the singing and dancing was completed, Pastor Erin McConnell was introduced and he gave the Benediction.

After all the children found their seats, it was time – time for one of the biggest moments of their lives thus far, even though they may not have realized it. These sweet little pre-schoolers walked down the gym floor to receive their diploma from Mr. Barry and they shook his hand. For the parents, grandparents and family members watching, this huge moment not only melted their hearts, but more than likely made them realize that their little pre-schooler is now a kindergartener. So watch out Mom and Dad, they are big kids now.

After receiving their diplomas, the award ceremony began. The first awards presented were attendance awards, given to students who missed five days or less for the entire school year. Those pre-schoolers included: Braxton Corkell, Elouise Williams, Harper Stout, Blakelynn Pogue, Catherine Parker, Camila-Sophia Mobley, Charley Guin, Remington Dailey and Greycen Burks.

The last award was the Most Improved Student award, and it went to Parker Shafer.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, families enjoyed some graduation cake and punch, picked up work the children had done throughout the year, and, of course, captured the moment with family graduation pictures.

Congratulations to the Wildcat Early Learning Center Preschool Graduating class of 2025 and to the future High School Class of 2038! We wish you the best of everything in the new adventures you will have in kindergarten and the years ahead.
