Lady ’Cats week in review

The Licking Lady ‘Cats had a busy week last week with games on Monday, Thursday and Friday.

MTN GROVE 47, LICKING 39

MTN. GROVE, Mo. – Monday the team traveled to Mountain Grove to take on a tough Lady Panthers team. Both the varsity and junior varsity teams came up short, losing 39-47 and 15-20 respectively.

THAYER 57, LICKING 47

LICKING, Mo. – Thursday a tough Thayer team came to town for a varsity only matchup. The Licking girls fought to the end and played a good game against a team that, in the first half, seemed to never miss. As time ran out, Licking still trailed by 10, 47-57.

The Licking Powercat teams were introduced during halftime of the game, and after the game, fans were treated to a concert by the school’s a cappella group, The Cat’s Meow, as they prepared for an international competition in Kansas City the following day.

LICKING 55, IBERIA 43

LICKING, Mo. – Friday ended a rough week on a high note as both the varsity and junior varsity teams notched conference wins against the Iberia Lady Rangers. Varsity came out on top 55-43 and the JV girls won by a score of 63-33 against a Frisco League rival.
