STORM SIREN TESTING
Testing of the Licking storm sirens is scheduled to take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 16.
KENNY HOOD BENEFIT FISH FRY & RAFFLE
A benefit fish fry and raffle will be held from 5:30 – 8 p.m. on Friday, January 17th, at Fox Fire House. Dine in or to-go plates will be available. Raffle tickets for a Stevens 301 .410 with Red Dot Scope are available now at Phoenix Pawn in Licking.
NSDAR JANUARY MEETING
The Noah Coleman Chapter, NSDAR, is scheduled to hold their January meeting at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 18, at Colton’s in Rolla. State Regent Lisa Parks will visit. Please wear purple as her topic is the Purple Heart.
TEXAS COUNTY DEMOCRATS
The next meeting of the Texas County Democrats will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, in the banquet room at Savors, Houston. We are gathering to support one another and build our committee.
LICKING DOWNTOWN ANNUAL FISH FRY & AUCTION
The annual fish fry and auction fundraiser for the Historic Licking Mill will be held Saturday, February 22, at the Licking VFW Hall. Music by Herman Hall will be from 4 – 6 p.m., fish dinner with all the fixin’s from 4 – 6 p.m., auction at 6 p.m. Now accepting donations for the auction at TJ’s Flowers & Gifts.
2025 TEXAS COUNTY FAIR DATES SET
Texas County Livestock Fair dates will be July 8-12, with the Livestock Auction on Saturday, July 12, at 2 p.m. Beef Weigh-in will be March 16, and Sheep, Goat, Hog and Replacement Heifer Weigh-in will be April 13.
GUN AND QUILT RAFFLE
The Fleet Reserve Association FRA Branch 364 is holding a Gun, Quilt and Large Ceramic Planter Raffle. The raffles are in support of college scholarships. For more information call David Herndon at 417-967-0661.

AOG LEGACY SERVICE
The Licking Assembly of God invites all to attend their weekly Legacy Service, held from 1 – 2 p.m. every Wednesday. This non-denominational service was begun to provide an option for those who wish to attend a mid-week service held during daylight hours.
KIDS AT THE CREEK
The Kids at the Creek Program at Boone Creek Baptist Church meets every Wednesday that school is in session, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with a light dinner, Bible study, crafts and music.
KIDZ CLUB/ YOUTH GROUP
