Testing of the Licking storm sirens is scheduled to take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 21.
DEMOCRATIC CLUB OF PHELPS COUNTY
The Democratic Club of Phelps County will have its November General Meeting on November 21 at the Phelps County Courthouse Multipurpose Room, starting at 6 p.m. The Club will provide turkey and asks that attendees bring a Thanksgiving side dish and/or dessert. Speaker will be Dr. Beth Kania-Gosche, Chair of the Education Department at Missouri S&T.
COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING MEAL
Licking Assembly of God Church will be hosting their 7th Annual Community Thanksgiving Meal on Thursday, November 28, Thanksgiving Day, at noon. Everyone is welcome.
LIGHTING OF THE MILL
The annual Lighting of the Mill will be held Saturday, November 30, at 5 p.m., at the historic Licking Mill. Join in the fun with cocoa, cookies, caroling and the lighting of the mill. Visit with Santa in the old mill.

DOWNTOWN LICKING CHRISTMAS FESTIVITIES
Licking’s annual downtown Christmas festivities will be held Saturday, December 7, in downtown Licking. Craft vendors will be found at the VFW Hall from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Santa will be at the VFW from 11-12:30, then will be at the Mill for the toy giveaway at 1:30 this year. The parade theme this year is “Christmas Treats” and it will begin at 4 p.m., with lineup at 3 p.m.
BENEFIT AUCTION AND FUNDRAISER
A Breast Cancer Benefit Auction and Fundraiser for Kris Jeffrey will be held on December 7, at Crow Creek Bar & Grill. A Benefit BB Gun Shoot will take place from 1-5 p.m. and the auction begins at 6 p.m. Donation items may be left with Crow Creek Bar & Grill, Brandy Jean, Tommy Gale Jr., Cassie Forrester, Amy Garn or Stacy Mendenhall. A benefit meal will be provided as well with all proceeds going to Kris.
BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
Breakfast with Santa will be held Saturday, December 14, in Edgar Springs. Parade begins at 10 a.m. with free breakfast and presents from Santa to follow at the Edgar Springs Fire Station.
