VETERANS FREE FISHING AT MONTAUK
Military veterans fish for free at Montauk on Saturday, September 7. Veterans must obtain and display a fishing tag that will be given to them at the Hooked on Vets tent/booth in the park.
GRANDPARENTS DAY AT LRC
Grandparents’ Day is September 8. Licking Residential Care is encouraging everyone to send a card or to visit your grandparent. Cards can be sent to residents at: Licking Residential Care Facility, (Grandparents Name), 225 West Highway 32, Licking, MO 65542.
SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCE CLASS

FFA FRUIT SALES
The Licking FFA Chapter’s Annual Fruit Sales are happening now and end on September 13. Delivery is between Thanksgiving and Christmas break. If you’re interested in purchasing, contact Ms. Rae Kirkwood at Licking High School or any Licking FFA member.
TEXAS COUNTY SIREN BOWL
The Texas County Law vs. Texas County Fire/EMS/Dispatch softball game will be held beginning at 7 p.m. at the Houston Tiger Baseball Field, on Saturday, September 14. Proceeds go to Texas County Shop with a Hero.
BOONE CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH HOMECOMING
Boone Creek Baptist Church will be celebrating their 170th Homecoming Anniversary beginning with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and special events starting at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 15. Special events include special music, a guest speaker and a carry-in meal after services.
SERVICE IN THE PARK
The Licking Ministerial Alliance is hosting a Service in the Park on Sunday, September 15, at Licking’s Old City Park. Food and fellowship begin at 5 p.m., with Pastor Matthew McGuire conducting the service at 6 p.m. Please bring lawn chairs.

The Fall Festival “Pickin’ on the Porch” will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the historic Licking Mill. Complete an entry form at The Licking News or TJ’s Flowers to show your quilt in the Old Fashioned Quilt Turning at 12:30. Craft Vendors can sign up at TJ’s Flowers.
LRC SILENT AUCTION
Licking Residential Care will be running a silent auction throughout the month of September. Funds raised go toward the Resident Christmas fund.
