The Mo Express Track Club headed to the National Middle School Track competition in North Carolina last week. Licking was well represented by these young track athletes, who qualified for the event at the State meet this spring.

Evan Crow finished 8th in Pole Vault and the 4 x 100 meter relay of Jason Ingram, Michael Cunefare, Keirum O’Daniel and Crow finished 10th. Ingram took 11th in High Jump. O’Daniel was 22nd in the 2-mile, Crow was 26th in the 110 Hurdles, Cunefare finished 32nd in the 110 hurdles and Lucas Bates was 49th in the 800 meter.

“These boys came up here and had no idea what we were coming to. This meet was amazing and the best of the best. My boys represented Missouri by being the only team from Missouri here and they held their own. I’m so very proud of each of my athletes that came and competed. They almost set a personal record in every event we were in. No, we did not come home with a medal, but now they are more determined to come back next year and come home with some bling.” ~ Coach Ashley Ingram
