Lady Wildcat Softball celebrates Senior Night

The Licking Lady Wildcat Softball team celebrated their Senior Night last Monday, April 22, after the varsity-only game vs. Eminence. Seniors Makenna Skidmore, Allie Decker, Emalee Breeden and December Maxey took the ballfield with their parents/loved ones. Each was celebrated for their individual accomplishments and Coach Christie Medlock thanked the girls for their hard work and dedication in helping to build the Licking softball program.

The celebration came after a convincing 15-0 win over the Eminence Redwings. This was the team’s only game that week due to rain. The Lady ’Cats were slated to play Cabool Tuesday, April 30, in a home game (weather permitting), and enter their District Tournament play on Friday. Licking will face host team Potosi in the first round. The winner will play first seed Houston, who received a first round bye, on Monday, May 6. The District Championship game is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, at 5 p.m.
